The microbiome is made up of all the bacteria, fungi, viruses and their genes that are naturally present in our bodies. Although microbes are too small to be seen with the naked eye, they play a vital role in our well-being and health.
They protect us from pathogens, support the development of the immune system, aid in digestion, etc. Microbes affect our health in many ways. Some make environmental factors less toxic for us, while others have the opposite effect. The basic human microbiome is formed in the first years of life, but it can change over time. It depends on our diet, medications and other environmental factors.

The microbiome test includes a comprehensive analysis of gut microbes. The focus will be on the microbes that are most likely to disturb the normal microbial balance.
